Background Analysis

Traditional Pallets:

  • Counting: Manual counting/barcode scanning.
  • Distribution and circulation: Employees manually select assembly modes and initiate assembly processes based on information on the pallets.
  • Handover: Personnel changes, verbal records/damaged barcodes, difficult to view.

Construction objectives:

  • 1. Capable of automatically sensing incoming and outgoing pallets
  • 2. Automatically detect pallets arriving at the production line edge
  • 3. Detect pallets moving to the next process

Solution:

• Based on the on-site situation, Airplux proposes utilizing RFID technology to help production line equipment break free from human constraints, achieving 24/7 automated and intelligent production, improving factory production efficiency, and reducing production downtime and low efficiency caused by human factors.

Phase 1 sensing areas:

  • 1. Entrances/exits of semi-finished product storage areas (2)
  • 2. Finished product storage areas (2)
  • 3. Manual workshop testing assembly lines (2)

Introduction to UHF RFID

electronic tag

• UHF electronic tags store electronic data in a specified format and are attached to the surface of objects to be identified.

Step 2

•The tag sends its own code and other information to the READER, which then sends the information/data to the host computer for processing.

Step 1

• The READER transmits radio frequency signals of a certain frequency through an antenna. When the tag enters the magnetic field, it generates an induced current to obtain energy

Step 3

• The RFID information processing system (i.e., the backend application support software) integrates RFID tag data collected by RFID readers.

Functions

  • Automatically identifies target objects and retrieves related data via radio frequency signals, with no manual intervention required, and can operate in various harsh environments.
  • Real-time data collection, secure data access channels, and access to all product information even in offline mode, etc.

UHF RFID Equipment Selection

  • Fixed Readers:

Requirements include fast and stable reading speeds of at least 150 successful reads per second, strong anti-collision performance, low power consumption, flexible TCP/IP communication interfaces, and the ability to provide secondary development integration.

  • Handheld Devices:

Android operating system, fast and stable UHF tag read/write speed, capable of secondary development integration, and equipped with wireless communication options such as WiFi and GPRS.

  • Desktop Readers:

Used for electronic tag data entry and rewriting.

  • UHF Antennas:

Moderate gain, small size, thin, and lightweight design, easy to install on workbenches.

  • Anti-metal Tags:

Required storage capacity: EPC memory: 128 bits, extended memory: 512 bits.
