UHF Near-Field RFID Antenna – 620x205mm

A UHF near-field RFID antenna is designed to provide RFID reading and writing within a localized area at close range. Far-field RFID antennas rely on radiated electromagnetic waves and are commonly used when tags need to be read over a wider area or at greater distances. The right choice depends on the required reading distance, tag placement, item spacing, and application environment.

Circular polarization can help reduce sensitivity to tag orientation compared with linear polarization in many RFID applications. This can be useful when tags are positioned at different angles. However, reading performance also depends on tag design, placement, distance, and the surrounding environment.

DC Ground indicates that the antenna design provides a DC grounding path. This feature may be relevant when evaluating electrical protection for an RFID installation. It should not be considered a substitute for appropriate system grounding or external surge protection where required.

The antenna has a specified operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. However, its specifications do not state an IP rating or confirm outdoor suitability. If the antenna will be installed outdoors, confirm its protection against water, dust, and other environmental conditions before use.

This antenna operates at 902–928 MHz, has a 50 Ω impedance, and uses an SMA female connector. For compatibility, check that the RFID reader supports the same frequency band and that the connecting cable and RF interfaces are suitable for the installation.
